When she was asked about where her stage name "Sora Aoi" came from, Sora said that she was asked by her agency about what color she likes and she said blue (which is "ao" in Japanese) and also what she likes in general, in which her answer was sky (which is "sora" in Japanaese). So she was given the name Sora Aoi, which means "blue sky".
